We can also signpost or refer you to a specialist or local service which can help you, or an opportunity to get out and about locally. We also have a Community Connecting service which aims to help connect our callers with what is available locally.

Community Connecting Service:

The Community Connecting Service aims to tackle loneliness and isolation in older people. We do this through matching older adults with community services that offer friendship, social activities, health and fitness groups and events based on their interests.

Our friendly volunteers will contact you to find out your interests, provide you with information and contact details and, if required and where possible, community transport options in your area. They will keep in touch with calls of encouragement and friendship should you need some extra support. They will provide you with an opportunity to discuss any other services available and where relevant, make contact with local services on your behalf.
