The former Grimsay Free Church, originally built by the people of Grimsay, was acquired by the Grimsay Community Association and renovated in 2016-17.
Now known as Ceann na h-Àirigh, it includes the Grimsay Post Office, the CIDSIN cafe, a local heritage collection, a weekly produce and craft market and exhibitions. It is a venue for live music (fortnightly), talks and workshops. The centre is a social and practical focus for the Grimsay community to link with other Uist groups in support of island traditions, skills and Gaelic culture. It also serves as a point of access for visitors to our islands.
