BBC Alba Interview
By Support Team on 06/02/2020
Gemma Jones, Community Development Worker (Western Isles) for the Highlands and Islands Connections project, interviewed with BBC Alba's Shona MacDonald and Nicola Webber this past Tuesday to discuss the new Dè tha Dol App/Website.
Dè tha Dol, the ‘What’s Happening’ online platform for the Uists & Benbecula, is an initiative created by Support in Mind Scotland and funded through the Scottish Government's Aspiring Communities Fund with support from the European Social Fund. The aim of this digital response is to connect local residents to what's happening in and around their communities.
There's an app for that? YES! If you live in the Uists and Benbecula, Dè tha Dol is the place to find out what’s happening in your area. Whether you’re looking for the local weather conditions, ferry times, the nearest cèilidh, training information, an event, something to do, local shop info or information about local and national mental health supports you can find it all here!
Currently there's over 80 local and national Listings on the app and that list continues to grow weekly! To download the App and 'Favourite' Listings in your area and beyond to discover what's happening and when click on the 'Apple Store' or 'Google Play' link located on the website home page.
